Why are refunds not shown inside of an invoice?

The billing interface is very confusing for customers. Invoice should show the refunded totals in addition to the net invoice total after refunds are accounted for. Otherwise, where does the customer see if they have received a refund?

Whenever you initiate a refund for a subscription from sales tab, a new invoice is generated with status "Refunded" that can be seen in the invoices tab. Along with this, on the original "paid" invoice there would be the summary of refund too. Check the screenshots for reference.
