When using a Coupon Code Credit Card Detail Entry is not presented

Hello,
We use coupons to give customers their first month or two free. But when these coupons are redeemed the checkout form no longer requests the user to enter their credit card.
For simplicity to the user, we need to collect the credit card details for all users when they checkout with a coupon code. It is very inconvenient for the user to enter their credit card details once the coupon period expires.
I cannot find an option to make the collection of credit card details mandatory on checkout regradless of coupon status.
Please help
Rob.

Hi @robby666111,

Could you please share the specific product name and the coupon code for which you are facing this issue? Once we have these details, we will test the scenario on our end and assist you accordingly.

It is with every coupon code and plan. If the coupon code means that no payment is required immediately, then the credit card details are not requested.
But for your testing yon can look at the following
Product : Te Pari MacroStock Studio Subscription
Plan Name : MacroStock Studio Subscription - NZ
Coupon Name : 3 Month Free

Hi @robby666111,

Thank you for sharing the details. Please note that since the subscription amount and the coupon code are equal, the final subscription amount becomes zero. This causes the payment method to be skipped, as there is no payment required.

However, if you want to add trial periods to your plans, you can certainly do so as described in the following documentation, and you can also collect the payment for the subscription.

Hi
Since we have lots of different coupons we can't use the trial period feature.
We need to be able to collect the credit card details for all new subscriptions even when the coupon application gives the first net balance of zero. How can we do this? We really need to be able to do it this way.

Our technical team has informed us that you’ll need to charge a small amount, such as 1. Otherwise, adding the details manually through the client portal will be the only option. You won’t be able to collect credit card details if the subscription amount is zero.

We have coupons that give anywhere from 1 - 12 months free etc. How would we set this up so that it bills $1 then provides the next x months free? What is required for Pabbly yo change the system so the a valid credit card is required in the system before activating any subscription. This would be like how other subscription providers (Apple, Google etc) work.

Could we do it this way....
We revert to using a free trial of say 10 days. We remove the coupon field from the subscription creation form.
Then once the free trial has started, we allow the customer to enter a coupon on an existing subscription to extend their trial? Would this work? How would we setup the workflows for this?

I’m afraid that doesn’t seem to be a viable option either, as you won’t be able to remove the coupon field and then add it back after 10 days.
