Price increase

Hi
We would like to implement a price increase. How do we do this?
Just go into each product and increase the price, for example from $10 to $15?
On the next renewal will the new amount be charged to the customer automatically?

Thanks

Hello,

You can implement the new price in two steps in Pabbly Subscription Billing:

Step 1: Update the price of the plan for the new customer

Update the price of the plan to reflect the new amount. This ensures that new customers will purchase the plan at the updated price.

Navigate to the Plan section.> Find and hover on the plan you wish to edit. > three dots options > Edit > enter the updated price >Save the changes.

Once this is completed, the plan will reflect the updated price. New customers who purchase this plan will be charged the updated amount.

Step 2: Adjust Pricing for Existing Customers

"If you want to update the price for current subscribers or customers, you will need to adjust their existing subscriptions. To do this, cancel their current subscription with the old amount and then create a new subscription for the same plan, but at the updated price.

Are you serious that you need to cancel the old subscription? There is a risk that the user will not renew or forget.I noticed that some applications allow for increasing subscription prices without needing to cancel the current subscription and create a new one.

Hello @vanstrac

Currently, our application doesn't support the feature that allows you to increase the price of an existing subscription without canceling the previous one. In order to increase the price of the existing subscription you have to cancel the existing subscription and create a new subscription with the updated price. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We kindly request that you submit this as a feature suggestion in our forum. If we receive multiple requests for this feature from our users, we will consider its inclusion in Pabbly Subscription Billing after assessing its feasibility. Please find the forum link below

So after the subscription is created, the customer has to subscribe again, right? That is the core of my question.

Hello @vanstrac

There are two options available in this scenario that you can do:-

Create a Fresh Subscription: Create a fresh new subscription for the existing subscribers / customer with the updated plan that reflects the updated price. And cancel the old subscription of the customer which reflects the old price. In this case, the customer will need to subscribe again to the updated plan.

Upgrade/Downgrade Subscription: Instead of creating an entirely new subscription, you can opt to upgrade or downgrade the customer's current subscription. To do this, you need to create a new plan seperately with the updated price and previous plan details. Then, using the upgrade/downgrade option available in PSB, transfer the customer's exsisting subscription to the newly created plan. This method ensures that your customer doesn't need to re-subscribe and instead, their current plan gets updated.
