Why does the broadcast messages get ignored ?

I created a broadcast list and attempted to send a message to it. It gets ignored; why?

We checked your account, and currently the number that you have connected is in a pending state.
We then tried to Register the number but received this error - Couldn't register the WhatsApp number. This number is registered to an existing WhatsApp account. To use this number, disconnect it from the existing account. Then, return to this page and re-enter the number. Note: It may take up to 3 minutes for the number to become available. Learn more
Kindly disconnect the number if it's connected to any other WhatsApp account and then complete the registration.
